Ajax have removed the £26million release clause from Hakim Ziyech's contract amid interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Morroccan caught the eye of Europe's biggest clubs with his performances in Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-finals last season, and the Dutch club have now tied him down to a new contract.
According to a report from AS, the Eredivisie champions offered Ziyech an improved deal without a release clause included.
The omission of a release clause will raise the winger's market value and possibly deter other clubs from making a bid.
Ziyech's new deal has extended his stay at the Johan Cruyff Stadium until at least 2022 and AS claim the playmaker's price tag is now £44m.
Ajax boss Erik ten Haag will be delighted to have kept one of his exciting young stars after losing academy graduates Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong to Juventus and Barcelona this summer.
